Ingredients list for Apple Pickle

  • 250 grams Apples cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoons Aniseed (saunf) powder
  • 2 tablespoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion seeds (kalonji)
  • to taste Salt
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 5 tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. In a bowl Mix together apple and lemon juice. Now dry the apples for 2-3 days.
  2. Once the apples are dried, place them in a jar, add mustard powder, aniseed powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder, coriander powder, salt, asafoetida and oil. Mix them well.
  3. Set aside for few hours and use.
