This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Yogurt, Potato Cuisine Uttar Pradesh Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Dahi Wale Aloo 1 cup Yogurt 3 medium Potato boiled and peeled 1 medium Onion roughly chopped 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Dried mango powder Juice of ½ lemon 2-3 tablespoons Mustard oil to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 3-4 Dried red chillies broken 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds a pinch Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped Method Roughly mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl. Add onion, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dried mango powder, lemon juice, 1 tbsp mustard oil and mix well. Add salt and mix well. Heat the remaining mustard oil in a non stick pan. Add asafoetida, dried red chillies, mustard seeds and cumin seeds and sauté. Turn off the heat and add a pinch of red chilli powder and a pinch of turmeric powder and mix. Add yogurt and mix. Add the tempering to the potato mixture and mix lightly. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
