Ingredients list for Fruit Custard

  • 1 Ripe banana peeled
  • 1 medium Pear
  • 1 medium Apple
  • 2 tablespoons Custard powder
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar 1/4 cup +
  • 2 tablespoons Mixed fruit jam
  • for garnishing Fresh pomegranate pearls 3 tablespoons +

Method

  1. Finely chop banana and pear.
  2. Take custard powder in a bowl. Add milk and mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan. Pour the custard mixture into it and cook, stirring once a while, till it thickens.
  4. Finely chop apple.
  5. Heat butter in another non-stick pan. Add apple, pear and banana and sauté. Add 1 tablespoon sugar, mix and saute till soft.
  6. Add ¼ cup sugar to custard mixture, mix well and cook till the sugar melts. Switch off heat and mix till smooth.
  7. Add sautéed fruits to the custard and mix well.
  8. Heat jam in another non-stick pan. Add little water, mix and cook till it melts.
  9. Add 3 tablespoons pomegranate pearls to the jam and mix well.
  10. Divide the jam-pomegranate mixture into individual Martini glasses.
  11. Top with the fruit custard, garnish with pomegranate pearls and serve immediately or chilled.
