An excellent accompaniment with any soup, the bread slices are smeared with garlic and parsley flavoured butter and toasted .

  • French loaf (baguette)

  • Butter
    200 grams
  • Garlic finely chopped
    15-20 cloves
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped
    2-3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1


Preheat oven to 180°C. Slice the baguette diagonally without cutting through. Mix garlic and parsley with butter well. Apply this in between the slices.

Step 2


Wrap the loaf in aluminium foil and bake in the preheated oven for ten minutes. Turn once and bake for further 10 minutes.

Step 3


Serve with laksa.
