This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sorghum (jowar), Jaggery (gur) Cuisine Indian Course Desserts Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Jowar with Jaggery 1 cup Sorghum (jowar) soaked overnight and cooked 1 cup Jaggery (gur) grated 4 tablespoons Pure ghee 1/2 cup Scraped coconut 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1/2 cup Cashewnuts halved 1/2 cup Thick coconut milk Method Heat ghee in a deep non stick pan. Put ΒΌ cup scraped coconut in a blender jar. Add 2 tbsps water and blend with a hand blender. Add sorghum to the pan and saute stirring at regular intervals. Add ground coconut and jaggery and stir till jaggery melts. Add green cardamom powder and cashewnuts and mix. Add coconut milk and mix. Let the mixture simmer. Roast the remaining scraped coconut in a non stick pan till fragrant. Garnish the sweet sorghum with roasted coconut and serve hot.
