By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Oct 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice, Split Green Gram Skinless Cuisine Bengali Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Khichuri 1 cup Rice soaked 1/2 cup Split Green Gram Skinless 2 teaspoons Ghee 1 Bay leaf 1 Green chilli 1 small Cauliflower cut into florets 1 Carrot cut into 1 cm pieces 5-6 French beans cut into diamonds 1 medium Potato quartered 1 medium Tomato cut 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1 teaspoons Sugar Method Dry roast the moong dal till light brown. Remove and keep it aside. Heat ghee in a non stick pan, add bay laef, green chillies and saute for a minute. Add cauliflower, carrot, french beans, potatoes, tomatoes and saute for a minute. Add turmeric powder, salt, sugar and half cup water and cook till vegetables are tender.
