Ingredients list for Mixed Vegetable Palak Tahiri

  • 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked
  • 8-10 Cauliflower florets
  • 1 medium Carrot cut into small cubes
  • 2 medium Potatoes cut into small cubes
  • 6-8 French beans
  • 1/4 cup Shelled green peas
  • 1/2 cup Spinach puree
  • 130 grams Bhuna masala
  • 8-10 Black peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 1 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 4-5 Green chillies slit
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt

Method

  1. Heat a rice cooker. Put the bhuna masala in it along with black peppercorns, fennel seeds, cinnamon and saute till fragrant.
  2. Add cauliflower, carrot, potatoes, French beans and green chillies and mix.
  3. Add rice, green peas, 2 cups water, spinach puree, garam masala powder and yogurt and mix well.
  4. Cover the cooker and cook on cook mode till the rice is done. Serve hot.
