Ingredients list for Palak with prawns

  • 2 medium Spinach chopped
  • 16 large Prawns (kolambi/jhinga) peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2-3 Green chilli chopped
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Marinate the prawns with salt and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and saute for a minute. Add prawns and saute for two to three minutes.
  3. Add spinach, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder , green chillies and salt and cover and cook on low flame or till the water dries up.
  4. Remove the lid and cook further for two minutes.Serve hot.
