Heat oil on medium heat in a kadai. Cut pineapple into round slices, remove the hard centre portion. They will now resemble doughnuts. Put them in the batter and mix so that they are well coated with the batter. Gently slide into medium hot oil, agitate the oil over the slices and deep fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Arrange them on a serving plate and sprinkle icing sugar through a sieve. Now sprinkle chocolate powder through the sieve. Serve hot.
