Spinach pastry Pastry triangles topped with spicy spinach mixture and baked By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Sep 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Spinach, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 6 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Difficult Others Veg Ingredients list for Spinach pastry Spinach blanched and chopped (For filling) 2 cups Refined flour (maida) (For dough) 1 tablespoon Yeast (For dough) 1 teaspoon Sugar (For dough) 1 tablespoon Oil (For dough) to taste Salt (For dough) 2 tablespoons Yogurt (For dough) a pinch Baking soda (For dough) For filling 1 bunch Spinach blanched and chopped 1 medium Onion chopped 1 Green chilli finely chopped 1 medium Tomato finely chopped 1 tablespoon Olive oil to taste Salt Method Melt yeast in two tablespoon warm water. Set aside. Make a soft dough with refined flour, yeast, sugar, oil and salt. Set aside for one hour. Punch the dough and make two equal balls. Roll each ball to a big thick circle. Cut each into 4 triangles. Set aside for five minutes. To prepare the filling, heat oil in a non stick pan, add onions and saute for two minutes. Add chilli, tomato and salt. Toss till soft. Remove from heat and cool. Place the filling on center on the triangle and place the other triangle on top. Seal well. Similar way make the other triangles. Place the spinach pastries on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for fifteen minutes at 180º degrees.
