Ingredients list for Wonton Rolls

  • 8 Wonton sheets
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 cup Fried potato wedges
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
  • Butter for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch slurry

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180º C. Roughly chop onion.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and garlic and sauté till lightly browned.
  3. Roughly chop potato wedges and place in a bowl, add sautéed ingredients and mix well. Add tomato ketchup and red chilli sauce and mix well.
  4. Place a wonton sheet on the worktop, brush with butter and cover with another wonton sheet. Similarly use rest of the sheets.
  5. Place some of the potato mixture in the center of each wanton sheet, apply cornstarch slurry on the sides and fold one edge over another to make a packet.
  6. Brush a baking tray with butter, place the wanton packets on it and brush the top with some butter. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Arrange the wonton packets on a serving plate and serve immediately.
