This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pressed rice (poha), Green peas Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Chuara Matar 1 1/2 cups Pressed rice (poha) 1/4 cup Green peas 1 tablespoon Ghee 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped 2-3 Green chillies, finely chopped 2 tablespoons Cashewnuts roughly chopped 1 tablespoon Raisins 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Dried mango powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt 1 medium Potato boiled and peeled Juice of 1 lemon as required Sev Method Soak poha in water for 4-5 minutes. Heat ghee in a non stick kadai. Add ginger, green chillies and sauté. Add cashewnuts, raisins and mix well. Add tomatoes and mix. Drain poha and set aside. Add turmeric powder, amchur, garam masala powder and green peas to the kadai and mix. Add salt and mix. Add poha and mix well. Cut the potato into small cubes, add to the kadai and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl and add lemon juice. Garnish with sev and serve hot.
