Ingredients list for Five Spice Chicken Stir-Fry

  • 1 tablespoon Five spice powder
  • 4 Boneless chicken breasts ¾ inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1/4 cup + tablespoon Sesame oil (til oil)
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Onion ¾ inch pieces
  • 1 Yellow capsicum ¾ inch pieces
  • 1 Green apples ¾ inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup Spring onions chopped
  • 1 1/2 inch pieces Ginger

  1. Keep the apple pieces in water. Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, one tablespoon sesame oil, five-spice powder, honey, ginger, garlic and salt. Marinate the chicken in above mixture for two hours.
  2. Heat the remaining oil in a wok. Add the chicken and toss for two to three minutes. Add the onion, capsicum and apple and continue to toss and cook till the chicken is cooked.
  3. Stir in spring onion and serve hot.
