Strain this paste through muslin cloth into a bowl. Heat milk in a non stick pan. Add sugar and mix well and simmer. Heat ghee in a small non stick pan, add cashewnuts and sauté lightly. When the milk starts boiling, add poppy seeds-rice-coconut milk. Add cardamom powder and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. When the payasam becomes thick, add fried cashewnuts along with ghee and mix well. Serve hot or cold.
