In a bowl mix together gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, asafoetida, baking powder, salt, cashewnuts, walnuts, almonds.
Add three tablespoons water and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, drop spoonful of mixture into the hot oil and deep fry on medium heat till crisp and golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
