Chicken marinated in spinach based yogurt marinade and cooked with capsicum and lemon slices

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken,cut into pieces
    400 grams
  • Spinach,blanched and chopped
    1 cup
  • Thick yogurt
    3 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste
    2 tablespoons
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Garam masala powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Green chillies,chopped
    1 teaspoon
  • Cheese,grated
    2 tablespoons
  • Green chutney
    3 tablespoons
  • Lemons
    2
  • Red capsicum
    1 large
  • Oil
    1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1


Mix thick yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, salt, garam masala powder, green chillies, cheese, green chutney and spinach in a bowl. Add chicken pieces and mix well.

Step 2


Cut lemons into thick slices. Cut capsicum lengthwise and further cut into medium pieces.

Step 3


Heat oil in a non stick pan. String 1 capsicum piece, chicken piece and lemon slice on a skewer. Repeat the process once on the same skewer and secure with 1 capsicum piece at the end. Similarly, prepare more skewers.

Step 4


Place skewers in the pan, cover and cook, turning occasionally, till chicken is soft.

Step 5


Serve hot.
