Ganesh Chaturthi is here and we cannot keep calm but make it an extra grand affair for you, like we have done all these years. Welcoming Bappa and celebrating him with our families for 10 long days in our homes is something that we eagerly wait for, all year long. It is also true that this year is going to be a little different because of the current situation we're dealing with. But, like always, the excitement, enthusiasm and preparations are in full swing. And if you ask me, this time it's going to be better since everyone's at home and can dedicate 24x7, to please the one and only ‘ek danta.’
All said and done, we know what makes Bappa the happiest; nothing but the delish and cute modaks. It is safe to say that, come what may, preparing this special sweet comes handy during this particular festival. We also know the elephant-headed Ganesha by so many names – Vinayaka, Vigna Harta, Sukh Karta, Dukh Harta, which all comes down to how he is greatest of all and all these names connected to his powerful attributes. But, one of the very popular names that Ganesha is known by is ‘Modakpriya’ which is only because of his unending and immense love for the customary mithai, modak.
This year, we’ve got 8 fabulous modak recipes to serve to the Ashtavinayak and please all the 8 avatars of Lord Ganesha!
1. Ukdiche Modak

Here’s the recipe to make it at home.
