Ingredients for Apple Cake Recipe

  • Medium apples (650 gms) peeled, thinly sliced and mixed with lemon juice 4

  • Melted butter 115 grams to grease

  • Eggs 4

  • Sugar 150 grams

  • Refined flour (maida) 150 grams

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180º C. Grease a square cake tin with some butter and dust with a little flour.

Step 2

Break eggs into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater till a little frothy. Add sugar and beat till light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add apples. Sift together refined flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add melted butter and mix well.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the tin. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from the oven, cool down to room temperature, cut into big pieces and serve on a serving platter.
