Ingredients list for Apple Cinnamon Toast, SK Khazana

  • 1 Medium green apple
  • 1 Medium red apple
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1 Whole bread loaf
  • as required Cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Castor sugar
  • as required Butter
  • For topping Vanilla ice cream
  • for garnishing Fresh mint sprigs

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  2. Cut bread loaf into thick slices. Slit in the centre of each slice in a square shape and press to make a slight dent.
  3. Spread some cream cheese in the well and insert green and red apple slices, skin side upwards, alternately over it. Arrange the bread slices on a baking tray.
  4. Sift together castor sugar and cinnamon powder on top of each bread slice. Spread some butter on the edges of each slice and drop a dollop in the centre.
  5. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream, garnish with mint sprigs and serve immediately.
