This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chickpeas, Parsley Cuisine Middle Eastern Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Baked Falafel 1 cup Chickpeas soaked overnight 3-4 Parsley chopped 2 stalks Spring onion greens chopped 4 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup Bread crumbs dried 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon Crushed peppercorns to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda 2 teaspoons Lemon juice 2 teaspoons Oil to brush Method Drain and coarsely grind chickpeas with little water. Transfer into a bowl. Add spring onion bulbs, spring onion greens, parsley, coriander leaves, breadcrumbs, garlic, red chilli powder, cumin powder, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well. Add baking soda and lemon juice and mix well. Shape the mixture into even sized small tikkis and arrange them on a greased baking tray. Brush them with a little oil and bake them in the oven at 180° C for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
