By Sanjeev Kapoor 10 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Onions, Quinoa Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Baked Onion Rings 2 large Onions cut into thick roundels, layers separated and soak ¾ cup Quinoa ¾ cup Refined flour (maida) 1 teaspoon Paprika 1 teaspoon Mixed herbs 1 teaspoon Mustard paste 1 teaspoon Onion powder 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste Salt ¼ cup Bread crumbs fresh Method Preheat oven to 180º C. Dry roast quinoa in a non-stick pan till golden and crisp. Put flour, paprika, mixed herbs, mustard paste, onion powder, garlic powder, crushed peppercorns and salt in a bowl. Add some water and whisk well to make a semi-thick batter. Coarsely grind the roasted quinoa and spread on a plate. Add breadcrumbs and salt and mix well. Pat dry soaked onion rings on an absorbent paper. Dip each onion ring in batter, coat with quinoa mixture and place on a baking tray. Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
