Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Koliwada - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into thin slices 250 grams

  • Salt to taste

  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tablespoon

  • Roasted cumin powder 2 teaspoons

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Gram flour (besan) 1/2 cup

  • Yogurt 3-4 tablespoons

  • Carom seeds (ajwain) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Chaat masala to sprinkle

  • Onions rings to serve

  • Lemon wedges to serve

  • Green chutney to serve

Method

Step 1

Take chicken slices in a bowl, add salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix well.

Step 2

Add gram flour and yogurt, mix well. Add carom seeds and mix well, set aside for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in kadai. Deep-fry the marinated chicken slices till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Arrange them on a serving platter, sprinkle chaat masala powder over them and serve immediately with onion rings, lemon wedges and green chutney.
