By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Drumsticks, Split pigeon pea (toor dal/arhar dal) Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Dal with Drumsticks 2-3 Drumsticks scraped and cut into 2 inch pieces 2 cups Split pigeon pea (toor dal/arhar dal) pressure cooked with turmeric powder 1 medium Onion finely chopped 1 teaspoon Green chillies chopped 2-3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped to taste Salt a pinch Asafoetida ½ teaspoon Tamarind pulp ½ cup Scraped coconut fresh Method Put cooked pigeon peas in a non-stick pan, add drumsticks, onion, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well. Add some water, mix and bring to boil. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-7 minutes. Add salt, asafoetida and tamarind pulp, mix and cook till drumsticks are fully done. Add coconut and mix well. Serve hot.
