Ingredients list for Date And Walnut Wontons

  • 100 grams Seedles Dates
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts Kernals
  • 16 Wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Clean and finely chop seedless dates. Boil walnut kernels in two cups of water for a minute. Drain, pat dry with an absorbent kitchen towel and roughly chop. Mix chopped dates, walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
  2. Divide the mixture into sixteen equal portions. Place a portion of date and walnut mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper, wet the edges with a little water, fold into half and twist the ends and stick.
  3. eat sufficient oil in a wok, add stuffed wontons and deep-fry for a couple of minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Remove and drain onto an absorbent kitchen towel.
  4. Serve hot with any ice cream of your choice.
