Ingredients list for Golden Rice Rings

  • 2 cups Rice Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • a pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 5 Green chillies chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Boil milk in a non stick pan. Blend together onion, coconut, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, Asafetida and green chillies till smooth. Add it to the boiling milk.
  2. Add the rice flour and salt and mix till a soft dough is formed. Remove from heat.Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll into balls.
  3. Wet your hands and roll a portion of the dough into a cylindrical shape. Join the edges to form small rings.Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry all the rings till crisp and golden.Remove on absorbent paper and serve hot with cheese dips.
