Ingredients for Green Apple Salsa on Toast - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Medium green apple 1

  • French baguette 1

  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons

  • Medium tomato finely chopped 1

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Green chillies chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Fresh coriander sprigs a few to garnish

  • Black olives sliced a few to garnish

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Cut the French baguette into not-too-thin slices.

Step 3

Grease a baking tray with 1 tbsp oil. Place baguette slices on it and drizzle 2 tbsps olive oil over them. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Finely chop the green apple and transfer it in a bowl. Add tomato, onion, coriander leaves, green chillies, lemon juice, salt, crushed black pepper and 1 tbsp oil and mix well.

Step 5

Place bread slices on a serving platter and keep a spoonful of salsa on top of each.

Step 6

Garnish each slice with a coriander sprig and an olive slice. Serve immediately.
