Grilled Tofu Sandwich Brown bread grilled with tofu, paneer and tomato chilli paste This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Oct 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Tofu, Brown bread slices Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Grilled Tofu Sandwich 1/2 cup Tofu grated 8 Brown bread slices 1/4 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated to cook Extra virgin olive oil Tomato chilli paste 1 tablespoon Olive oil 1 medium Onion chopped 10 Cherry tomatoes halved to taste Salt 3 Dried red chillies broken 2 tablespoons Roasted peanuts Method Heat oil in non stick pan, add onion and saute. Put paneer in a bowl, add tofu and mix. When onion becomes transluscent, add cherry tomatoes, salt and red chillies and sautetill tomatoes soften. Cool slightly. Put peanuts in a mixer jar, add tomato mixture and blend till smooth. Add this to the paneer-tofu mixture and mix well. Spread a thick layer of this mixture on 4 bread slices, cover each with bread slice. Brush the inside of the sandwich toaster with extra virgin olive oil, place a sandwich in it, close the toaster and toast over medium heat till golden and crisp on outside. Cut into triangles and serve hot.
