Ingredients list for Kayloli

  • 1 1/2 cups Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup Semolina
  • 3 Green chillies , chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • as required Oil
  • to serve Coconut chutney

Method

  1. Take rice flour in a bowl, add semolina, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  2. Add milk, 1½ cups water and mix well, ensuring there are no lumps left. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa. Spread a ladleful of batter evenly. Drizzle some oil around and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes or till the underside is golden brown.
  4. Flip and cook on other side for 2-3 minutes more. Use up the remaining batter similarly.
  5. Keep each on individual serving plate and serve hot with coconut chutney.
