Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots stretching to antiquity.  Italian cuisine is simple and a number of dishes having only four to eight ingredients.  They rely mostly on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate preparation.
Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Macaroni Cup Recipe

  • Macaroni Cooked 200 grams

  • Milk 2 cups

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 2 tablespoons

  • Broccoli Blanched 6-8 floret

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Dried herbs Mixed 1/4 teaspoon

  • Processed cheese 50 grams

  • Tomato ketchup 4 teaspoons


Step 1

Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add whole wheat flour and saute for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

Add ½ cup milk and mix well so that there are no lumps. Add 1½ cups milk gradually and keep stirring while adding and cook till the mixture reaches a sauce consistency.

Step 3

Finely chop 6-8 broccoli florets in a chopper and add to the sauce and mix well.

Step 4

Add salt, pepper powder and dried mixed herbs and mix well. Add boiled macaroni and mix well.

Step 5

Half fill 4 glass cups with macaroni mixture. Grate cheese and put some over the macaroni in each cup and top it with 1 tsp tomato ketchup.

Step 6

Garnish with a little broccoli and serve.
