Molten Chocolate and Peanut Butter Lava Cake

Ingredients list for Molten Chocolate and Peanut Butter Lava Cake

  • 125 grams Dark chocolate broken into pieces
  • 8 tablespoons Peanut butter
  • ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 6 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Take chocolate pieces in a bowl. Add butter and melt in a microwave oven on high for one minute. Remove from heat and mix well. Cool down to room temperature.
  3. Break eggs into another bowl. Add powdered sugar and blend with a hand blender till light and fluffy.
  4. Sieve together cocoa powder, baking powder and flour into it. Add melted chocolate mixture and mix well to a smooth batter.
  5. Pour the batter into eight individual silicon cupcake moulds till half. Put one tablespoon peanut butter in the centre of each and top with some more chocolate batter, taking care not to fill up to the top.
  6. Place the moulds in the preheated oven and bake for eight to ten minutes. Remove from oven, cool and demould.
  7. Serve.
