By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Apr 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Corn kernels, Garam masala powder Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Pachole 3 cups Corn kernels 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan) 2 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch to taste Salt for greasing Oil Method Coarsely grind corn kernels and put into a bowl. Add garam masala powder, ginger-green chilli-garlic paste, gram flour, cornflour and salt. Heat sufficient water in a steamer. Grease a plate with oil, put the corn mixture on it and spread evenly. Steam for fifteen to twenty minutes or till done. Cool and cut into squares. These are called pacholes. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa. Place the pacholes on it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown from both the sides. Serve hot.
