Ingredients list for Papdi

  • 2 cups Refined flour
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Take refined flour in a bowl, add salt and cumin seeds and mix well. Add ghee and mix. Add sufficient water and knead into a semi-stiff dough.
  2. Spread some oil on the work top and roll out the dough into a thin disc. Dork with a fork. Cut out small discs with a cookie cutter.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the discs and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Cool and use in making a chaat of your choice. Or store in an air tight container.
