Ingredients list for Quick Chilli Pickle

  • 28-30 Light green chillies
  • 4 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds crushed
  • 4 tabalespoons Lemon juice

Method

  1. Remove the stems and roughly chop the green chillies.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add asafoetida and ginger-garlic paste and mix. Add green chillies and mix well. Add salt and turmeric powder, mix well and cook till the green chillies soften slightly.
  3. Add crushed mustard seeds and mix well. Switch off the heat and add lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Transfer into a sterilized glass container. Let it rest for a day before serving.
