Ingredients list for Raw Banana Purichit

  • 3-4 Raw Banana
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Rice Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 12-16 Curry leaves chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. Peel bananas and soak them in water. Mix 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt, rice flour and half the curry leaves with 1 tbsp oil in a plate.
  2. Slice raw bananas lengthwise into thick pieces. Mix them with ½ tsp turmeric powder and 2 cups water and cook in microwave for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from the microwave, drain and set aside to cool. Apply the paste on banana slices evenly on both the sides.
  4. Heat oil in a non stick pan, slide in the marinated banana slices and shallow fry.
  5. Turn over and fry for some more minutes or till crisp. Add remaining curry leaves and fry for 1 minute. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
