Ingredients

  • 8-10 cashewnuts, vertically halved
  • 10-12 almonds, vertically halved
  • 15-20 pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon melon seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried coconut
  • 2 cups puffed lotus seeds (makhana)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur)
  • ½ teaspoon black salt
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 2-3 dried fig slices, chopped
  • 20-25 raisins
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips

Method

  1. Dry roast cashewnuts, almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, sunflower seeds and flax seeds in a non-stick pan for 3-4 minutes on low heat, tossing every few seconds. Transfer onto a plate.       
  2. Dry roast dried coconut in the same pan for 2 minutes. Transfer into a large bowl.
  3. Dry roast puffed lotus seeds in the same pan till crisp. Transfer into another bowl.
  4. Heat oil in the same pan on low heat. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, dried mango powder and black salt and mix well. Saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add the puffed lotus seeds and the roasted nuts and seeds and mix till well combined. 
  6. Add powdered sugar and mix till well combined. Allow to cool completely.
  7. Add dried figs, raisins and roasted mixture into the bowl of dried coconut and mix well. Add chocolate chips and mix till well combined.
  8. Transfer into an air tight container and serve as required.
