By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Green chillies, Fenugreek seeds Cuisine Indian Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Chatak Chilli Pickle 225 grams Green chillies mild Fenugreek seeds 4-6 Fresh red chillies 1/2 cup + Vinegar 3 tablespoons Salt 1/2 cup Sesame oil (til oil) 3/4 cup Garlic chopped 6 tablespoons Ginger paste 2 tablespoons Tamarind pulp golden 3/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) crushed 1/2 cup Sugar Method Advertisment Crush green chillies coarsely with fresh red chillies, half the vinegar and salt. Heat a pan. Add sesame oil and heat till it reaches the smoking point. Add garlic, ginger and sauté till red. Add the green chilli mixture and sauté for five minutes. Add tamarind pulp and mix. Add crushed split fenugreek seeds and mix. Add sugar and adjust salt. Add the remaining vinegar and cook for five minutes. Take off the heat and set aside to cool. Store in sterilized bottles. You can use this pickle as a spread.
