Ingredients list for Chicken Cheese Potli-SK Khazana

  • 150 grams Chicken boiled and shredded
  • 3 tablespoons Cheddar cheese grated
  • 3 tablespoons Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 200 grams Refined flour (maida) dough with carom seeds (ajwain
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh basil leaves shredded
  • to taste Salt
  • for dusting Refined flour (maida)
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Mix together chicken, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, basil leaves and salt in a bowl.
  2. Dust the worktop with some flour, place the dough on it and roll out into a large disc.
  3. Keep a medium sized cookie cutter over the disc and cut out discs.
  4. Keep some chicken mixture in the centre of each disc, brush the edges with some water, gather the edges together and shape into potlis. Press the edge to seal.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry potlis till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
