Ingredients list for Chickoo Halwa

  • 6 Chickoo
  • 1/2 cup Khoya
  • 150 grams Khoya/mawa
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 5 Almonds slivered
  • 5 Pistachios slivered

Method

  1. Peel and mash chickoos to a smooth paste.
  2. Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel, add the mashed chikoos and cook till thick.
  3. Add khoya and cook, stirring continuously.
  4. Add sugar and ghee. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously till the fat separates and the mixture gets the halwa consistency.
  5. Serve hot garnished with almonds and pistachios.
