Ingredients for Chocolate Crinkle Cookies Recipe

  • Cocoa powder 1 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Baking powder 2 teaspoons

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

  • Instant coffee powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Castor sugar 1 1/2 cups

  • Vegetable oil 1/2 cup

  • Eggs 3

  • Vanilla essence 2 teaspoons

  • Powdered sugar 3/4 cup


Step 1

Sift refined flour, baking powder, salt and coffee powder into a large bowl.

Step 2

To make the cookie dough, put cocoa powder into a stand mixer bowl attached with a paddle attachment, add castor sugar and vegetable oil and mix till well combined.

Step 3

Add eggs, one at a time, and mix after each addition. Add vanilla essence and mix well.

Step 4

Add the flour mixture to the eggs mixture and gently fold in till well combined.

Step 5

Wrap the dough with cling film and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 180º C. Line a baking tray with a parchment sheet.

Step 7

Take powdered sugar in a bowl.

Step 8

Divide the cookie dough into small portions (20 grams) and roll each portion into balls. Coat each ball with powdered sugar and place them at equal distance on the lined baking tray.

Step 9

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool slightly.

Step 10

Gently lift and place them on a wire rack to cool down to room temperature.

Step 11

Arrange them on a serving platter and serve or store in an airtight container to serve as required.
