Crisp Sesame Lamb

Ingredients list for Crisp Sesame Lamb

  • 350 grams Boneless lamb strips
  • for garnishing Sesame seeds (til) 5 teaspoons +
  • 4 tablespoons Rice flour
  • 6 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • to deep fry Oil 2 teaspoons +
  • for coating Bread crumbs

Method

  1. Take rice flour in a bowl. Add cornflour, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well.
  2. Take lamb strips in another bowl. Add ginger, garlic, salt, crushed peppercorns and 3 teaspoons sesame seeds and mix well.
  3. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add parsley and mix again. Add 2 teaspoons oil and mix well. Set aside.
  4. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and the remaining sesame seeds and mix well.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  6. Coat the lamb pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, dust off the excess and deep-fry in hot oil on medium heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot garnished with sesame seeds.
