Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Grilled Chicken and Egg Sandwich Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2

  • Eggs , hard boiled and peeled 4

  • Triangular white bread slices , toasted 8

  • Salt to taste

  • Garlic , chopped 2 teaspoons

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Fresh thyme 1-2 sprigs

  • Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Butter 2 teaspoons

  • Olive oil 2 teaspoons

  • Mayonnaise as required

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves a few

  • Tomatoes , cut into roundels 2 medium

  • Cheese slices 4

  • French fries to serve

  • Ketchup to serve


Step 1

Place chicken breasts on a plate. Add salt, garlic, chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, thyme leaves and Worcestershire sauce and rub in well on both sides. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes.

Step 2

Heat butter and olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the marinated chicken breasts in it and grill, turning sides, till evenly cooked and golden brown on both sides.

Step 3

Take the chicken breasts off the pan, place them on a chopping board and slice them. Slice the boiled eggs into roundels.

Step 4

To make each sandwich, apply some mayonnaise on one side of 2 bread slices.

Step 5

Place 1-2 torn iceberg lettuce leaves, few grilled chicken slices, few egg slices, 2-3 tomato roundels and one cheese slice on the mayonnaise side of 1 bread slice, cover with another bread slice, mayonnaise side facing downwards.

Step 6

Place the sandwiches on a serving platter and serve immediately with French fries and tomato ketchup.
