Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Hara Bhara Pakoda Recipe

  • Fenugreek Leaves chopped 1 cup

  • Cheese 4 tablespoons

  • Rice flour 4 tablespoons

  • Gram flour 4 tablespoons

  • Cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • Green chilli paste 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic paste 1/2 tablespoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

In a bowl mix together, fenugreek leaves, refined flour, rice flour, gram flour, cheese, salt, green chilli paste, garlic paste, cumin powder and salt. Add little water and make a smooth batter.

Step 2

Heat oil in a kadai, Make small pakoras of the batter and fry them till golden and crisp. Remove and drain on absorbent paper.

Step 3

Serve hot.
