By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Aug 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dried white peas, Turmeric powder Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 7-8 hour Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Keli Chana - SK Khazana 1 1/2 cups Dried white peas soaked for 6-8 hours 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Oil 2 Bay leaves 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped 1-2 Green chillies slit 1 Medium onion sliced 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 3-4 + to garnish Chives 1 teaspoon Kitchen king masala 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/4 cup Cabbage shredded 1-2 to garnish Fresh red chillies Method Take a pressure cooker, add white peas, turmeric powder, salt and 3 cups water, mix and let the mixture come to a boil. Cover with the lid and cook under pressure till pressure is released 2 times. Heat oil in non-stick pan, add bay leaves, ginger, garlic and green chillies, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden brown. Add coriander powder, roasted cumin powder and red chilli flakes and mix. Cut chives with scissors into the pan, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add cooked white peas and mix. Add salt and kitchen king masala and mix well. Add coriander leaves mix well.
