By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients American Corn, Tomatoes Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Makai Na Bhartha 1 kilogram American Corn 3 medium Tomatoes 3 medium Tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt Method Boil whole corn, remove the niblets and grind it coarsely in a blender. Peel, wash and finely chop onions. Wash and chop tomatoes. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies. Clean, wash and chop coriander leaves. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds and sauté till they change colour. Add chopped onions and sauté till light brown. Add chopped green chillies and cook for half a minute. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt. Cook for few seconds and add chopped tomatoes. When tomatoes are cooked add corn, salt and little water. Cook for another five minutes. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander.
