By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mutton, Potatoes Cuisine Bengali Course Main Course Mutton Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 51-60 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Mangshor Curry 400 grams Mutton 4-6 medium Potatoes 6 tablespoons Ghee 4 medium Onions,sliced 2 teaspoons Ginger paste 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic paste 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Sugar Method Advertisment Cut mutton into one inch pieces. Cut potatoes into one inch cubes. Heat ghee in a kadai, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Sauté for a minute. Add mutton. Cover and cook for five to ten minutes Remove the cover and stir fry on a high heat till all the moisture is absorbed. Add three cups of water. When the water comes to a boil reduce the heat. Add potatoes and sugar, cover and cook for thirty to thirty five minutes or till potatoes and mutton are cooked. Add salt and mix well. Serve hot with rice or luchi or porotha.
