Ingredients for Mangshor Curry Recipe

  • Mutton 400 grams

  • Potatoes 4-6 medium

  • Ghee 6 tablespoons

  • Onions,sliced 4 medium

  • Ginger paste 2 teaspoons

  • Garlic paste 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Cut mutton into one inch pieces. Cut potatoes into one inch cubes. Heat ghee in a kadai, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Sauté for a minute. Add mutton. Cover and cook for five to ten minutes

Step 2

Remove the cover and stir fry on a high heat till all the moisture is absorbed. Add three cups of water. When the water comes to a boil reduce the heat. Add potatoes and sugar, cover and cook for thirty to thirty five minutes or till potatoes and mutton are cooked.

Step 3

Add salt and mix well. Serve hot with rice or luchi or porotha.
