Ingredients list for Pastama

  • 1 cup Penne boiled
  • Peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 Green chillies slit
  • 1 tablespoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
  • 1 tablespoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 20-25 Curry leaves
  • 2-3 tablespoons Peanuts
  • 6 Dried button red chillies (bor mirchi)
  • 2 tablespoons Onions finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 3 teaspoons Veg Bolognese sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • 5-6 Pitted black olives sliced

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a non stick pan. Add mustard seeds, green chillies, black gram, Bengal gram, curry leaves, peanuts, button chillies and saute till fragrant. Add onions and saute well.
  2. Add boiled pasta, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and toss well. Add veg Bolognese sauce and salt and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl. Sprinkle black olives on top and serve hot.
