Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Pita Pockets With Spicy Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken 4

  • Hung Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Red chilli paste 2 teaspoons

  • Roasted cumin powder 2 teaspoons

  • Coriander powder 2 teaspoons

  • Garlic,crushed 2 cloves

  • Olive oil 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Pita breads halved 2

  • Lettuce leaves for garnishing

  • Tomatoes sliced 2

Method

Step 1

In a bowl, combine yogurt, red chilli paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper powder. Mix well. Place the chicken in a dish and pour the marinade on top.

Step 2

Cover and set aside for two hours. Heat the Grill Pan. Place the chicken in it and cook for ten minutes, turning sides, till evenly done all over.

Step 3

Remove the pieces and slice them thinly. Lightly warm the pita bread halves on the same hot pan.

Step 4

To serve, open the pita pockets, fill with sliced chicken, lettuce leaves and tomato slices. Serve immediately.
