Shahi Fruit Salad

A rich salad made with fruit and condensed milk - fit for a king!When fresh fruits are mixed with saffron laced thick custard milk, a delicious fruit salad with milk is born. Ingredients list for Shahi Fruit Salad

  • 1 large Apple
  • 2 large Bananas
  • 5 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Condensed milk
  • 1 medium Pomegranate (anar)
  • 8-10 Almonds
  • 10-12 Pistachios

Method

  1. Heat milk in a thick-bottomed vessel and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer till milk is reduced to less than half. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Combine reduced milk and condensed milk, stir and put to chill in the refrigerator.
  2. Wash and cut apple into half inch sized cubes. Peel and cut banana into half inch sized dices. Wash, cut into sections and remove pomegranate pearls. Slice almond and pistachios into thin slivers.
  3. Combine all the above fruits and divide equally into small individual bowls. Top it with chilled milk and garnish with almond and pistachio slivers. Serve.
