This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Apr 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients White sesame seeds, black sesame seeds (kale til) Cuisine Punjabi Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Til Gur Chawal 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds (kale til) 3/4 cup Jaggery (gur) grated 3 cups Basmati rice cooked 1 tablespoon Oil 1/2 cup Mixed nuts (walnuts and cashewnuts) chopped a pinch saffron strands 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder ½-¾ cup Milk Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mixed nuts, white sesame seeds and black sesame seeds and sauté till white sesame seeds turn golden. Add jaggery, reduce heat and cook till it melts. Add saffron strands, cardamom powder and milk, mix and cook for a minute. Add India Gate Basmati Rice, spread evenly on top of the jaggery mixture and cook for a minute. Mix on high heat and cook for 3-4 minutes or till the mixture dries.
