Ingredients list for Veg Vadas

  • 1/2 kilogram Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked
  • 125 grams Khatta Leaves
  • 125 grams String beans (chavli)
  • 8 Green chillies
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Grind together chana dal with ambat chuka, chawli, green chillies, salt, sugar, lemon juice and red chilli powder to a coarse paste
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Make vadas of the batter and deep fry them till golden brown in color.
  3. Drain on absorbent paper.Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
